Dun Laoghaire Harbour 

Dún Laoghaire Harbour is a beautiful 200+ year old Victorian port located 12km south of Dublin's City Centre, in the town of Dún Laoghaire. The Harbour is just a 10 minute drive from the Talbot Hotel Stillorgan. The East & West Piers both offer a beautiful promenade with spectacular views of Dublin Bay. There are plenty of cafes and ice-cream vendors to make the most of your day out or if you've really worked up an appetite, there are several excellent local restaurants in the area.

 

People's Park

Dun Laoghaire's magnificent People's Park is a short walk away from Dun Laoghaire Harbour. The green lush, and well maintained gardens have a childrens playground and have stunning views of the harbour, it is the perfect place to relax on a suny afternoon, with plenty of benches around the park. 

It opened in 1890, and major elements were redeveloped between 1985 and 1997, and again in 2012. The two hectare gardens are open to visitors every day to enjoy the water fountains, cafes, and a restaurant. Each weekend market vendors bring their colourful art collections, arts & crafts, and locally sourced produce. They align the park every sunday from 11am till 4pm, and offer shoppers artefacts from around the world, delicious locally sourced organic Irish produce and an array of international flavours. 

The park is also a venue for live music acts and festivals. People's Park is a perfect oasis of relaxation, a safe place for kids to play and a quite place to enjoy some refreshments. It is only a 20 minute by car, or 35 minutes by the 46A bus, getting off at Dun Laoghaire Station, stop number 2039. 

 

Sandycove Beach & Forty Foot

The Forty Foot is a promentary on the tip of of Dublin Bay at Sandycove beach. People have been swimming off it for over 250 years. It is a very popualar spot for people to dive off during the summer months if you brave enough. 

Sandycove beach itself a very popular spot for families as it offers swallow waters to paddle and gorgeous views! 

You can get there 20 minutes by car. Or alternatively its takes 46 minutes by bus taking the 46A to Knapton Court, stop 2033. Then from there get the 111 getting off at Elton Park, once there its a 5 minute walk to one of south dublin's most popular spots!
