Located just a short drive, cycle or Dart journey from the Talbot Hotel Stillorgan is Sandymount Strand which serves as the starting point for one of Ireland's best walks. The nearby seaside village of Sandymount is also host to several trendy artisan cafes and restaurants to refuel in.
The walk itself is officially known as the Great South Wall Walk and is approximately 4km long. The lighthouse was built in 1768 and at the time boasted the world's longest sea wall.
